Gavaznha - Starring Behrouz Vosooghi (DVD) Rasul and Qodrat had been classmates and close friends. Qodrat became a thief, while Rasul turned into a drug addict. Qodrat locates Rasul through the latter’s father and persuades Rasul to let him hide in his house. The police discover Qodrat’s hiding place and he, thinking Rasul betrayed him to the police, shoots him. However, when he realizes that Rasul is innocent, he gives himself up to the police. Noted primarily for its political content.

Azadeh has been seduced by Mohsen and wants him to marry her. Mohsen tries to elude her by fleeing to the seashore but Azadeh pursues him. Azadeh's wealthy father sends 'All to find her and bring her home. 'Ah locates her just as Mohsen and his friends are about to stage an orgy with her. 'Ah fights them and Azadeh flees. Desperate now, Azadeh tries t& drown herself, but is rescued by 'All who persuades her to return home. On the way, they fall in love and Azadeh's father agrees to their marriage. Habib is a forty-year-old bachelor, who lives with his mother and his half-wit brother, Majid. Majid, who does errands at his brother1s shop, falls in love with the picture of a girl he has seen in a shop window. Finding out that the girl is already married, he is deeply disturbed and has to be taken to a holy shrine to be cured. Back in town, Majid falls in love again, this time with a movie-theatre ticket girl, and leaves home. Habib finds him, and decides to arrange for him to get married. He brings home a prostitute and leaves her with Majid. Majid falls in love with the girl and marries her. When later he finds out about his wife's past, he loses his emotional stability once again, and asks his brother to take him to the holy shrine. He dies before reaching the shrine, however, and Habib is forced to marry the pregnant prostitute. The film was shown at the Sixth Tehran International Film Festival Competition Section in 1977. Noted primarily for its artistic merits.

A young man named Javad falls in love with Batul, whose mother is very ill. To obtain money for her operation, Javad decides to blackmail Ziba, a rich woman who is carrying on an affair with Khalayeq, the chairman of the local council. Khalayeq is ready to pay up, but his wife, Badri, controls his money. Meanwhile, Javad becomes aware of the many problems that the local inhabitants are faced with, and because of his efforts to solve these, he is finally elected to Khalayeq's position. He becomes so involved with his job that he forgets Batul altogether. Noted primarily for the fame of the director.
